Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee, Jackson and Livingston Counties in Michigan
"Arlington Michigan" display project of VFP Chapter 93 - Memorial Day, 2006, Hanover Square Park, Ann Arbor Michigan. The display consists of one cross for every Michigan soldier killed in the latest Iraq war.

Imagine - A John Lennon Concert For Peace Scholarships
Our Veterans For Peace Chapter will be holding this benefit concert to raise funds for the Chapter's Peace Scholarship Fund. Friday, October 10th, Corner Brewery,
Norris and Forest, Ypsilanti, 8pm. Hear local musicians do their take on classic John Lennon songs and help promote peace at the same time. $10 admission (which is tax deductable). Veterans For Peace Seeks to increasing public awareness of the costs of war, restrain our government from intervening in the affairs of other nations, works to reduce the arms race as well as eliminating nuclear weapons and works to abolish war as an instrument of international policy.

About The Group - Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985 with a national headquarters office in St. Louis, Missouri. An annual convention is held in August. Member actions have included speaking about their experiences at schools and other venues, lobbying Congress and the President, fact-finding delegations to Central America/ Bosnia/Iraq/Chiapas, Mexico and medical aid trips to Vietnam. A Washtenaw County Chapter of Veterans For Peace was formed in February 2003.

Becoming A Member - Annual dues are $25 and payable to Veterans For Peace, 216 South Meramec Avenue St. Louis, MO 63105 This can also be done on-line by going to the Veterans For Peace national website (see the "How To Join" or "Links" section of this webpage).
